Despite the multiple health, economic, and environmental crises facing us this year, Global Oncology has been able to continue making impressive strides to advance our mission of improving access to cancer care and education in low- and middle-income countries.
While the pandemic prevents us from hosting an in-person event this year, we are hosting the first-ever Global Oncology Virtual Salon Series. These 1-hour Zoom discussions will showcase our programmatic work in Belize, Nigeria, and beyond and highlight our partners and other experts in the global cancer field. Supporters and guests will have a unique opportunity to engage directly with frontline implementers in an intimate, “salon-style” format.
In addition to the first virtual salon event on Oct. 14th, we're planning a second event in November (date TBD) entitled: "Educating Children about Cervical Cancer and the HPV Vaccine: The GO Comic Book and the Cervical-Cancer Free Nigeria Campaign.” Please stay tuned for more information.
