The goal is to improve outcomes for children with cancer and establish the INC pediatric oncology program as a model for childhood cancer care throughout Colombia. Objectives include: to improve the rate of compliance with therapy in children with cancer, as well as to reduce the toxic death rate of children with cancer, by means of training and education of physicians and nurses in the care of the child with cancer, with the support of social work and OPNICER Foundation to address the psychologic, social, and economic needs of families of children with cancer.
