Goal of this collaboration is to study mechanisms of de novo formation of the human kinetochore. This work was initiated when Dr. Masumoto worked in our lab as Research Fellow. This collaboration results in development of protocols for formation of Human Artificial Chromosomes (HACs) in any types of human cells.
