The proposed programme of activities will consist of four policy events and two half-day training workshops in the Houses of Parliament. Each policy event will involve the participation of parliamentarians, industry representatives and academics and will centre around the theme of innovation in healthcare; in particular looking at the use of modeling in the NHS, joined up approaches to cancer treatment, innovative designs and materials in health and the issue of counterfeiting in the pharma ceutical industry. The training sessions will focus on engaging policymakers with academic research and assessing the best methods in which to approach parliamentarians and parliamentary officials with academic research.
