In a context of decentralized health services to provinces and municipalities, the program will finance: (i) strengthening the Remediar Program, placing emphasis on schemes that increase the effectiveness of the first level of care; (ii) strengthening the Redes Program, aiming at extending its coverage to 40% of the population without social security and increasing the effectiveness of the pay for performance scheme; (iii) developing networks for cancer early detection; and (iv) other actions of health promotion and prevention of non-communicable chronic diseases.. This project was identified by RTI International for their own research purposes and some fields do not align with The GO Map categories. End dates were estimated as one year after the start date. The Project Type "Research, Clinical" may not accurately describe this project's focus but was used for all RTI International's Global Noncommunicable Diseases Initiative projects added in June 2018.
