DCEG is leading an analysis of radiation-associated thyroid cancer. Data from 16 studies conducted in the United States, Europe (the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark), Israel, and Japan will be pooled and analyzed to better quantify the relationship between external radiation exposure and thyroid cancer, and to clarify the role of potential effect modifiers such as gender, age at exposure, temporal patterns, and screening.
