The general objective is to contribute to the improvement of the quality and life expectancy of the population of Tarija, boosting the capabilities of the health team of the Regional Hospital San Juan de Dios (HRSJD) of Tarija for the supply of high resolution capacity services, based on research and in continuing education. The aim of the present project is to improve the bibliographic search and other information sources of HRSJD professionals; analyze HRSJD records related to cancer to establish a cancer registry proposal, conduct a health and cancer diagnosis of the population served by the HRSJD and identify a minimum of two research design proposals that can be led or carried out by the professionals of the HSJD, together with other professionals from the health community who are trained to collaborate; incorporate the prioritized research designs as doctoral projects of the people who lead them; and update the clinical knowledge of HRSJD professionals that may be directly or indirectly related to the cancer problems of the population they serve. . This project was identified by RTI International for their own research purposes and some fields do not align with The GO Map categories. End dates were estimated as one year after the start date. The Project Type "Research, Clinical" may not accurately describe this project's focus but was used for all RTI International's Global Noncommunicable Diseases Initiative projects added in June 2018.
